Appliya iPhone App Builder Contest: Make your own iPhone app, earn money, and have a chance to win a bonus $1000!

The iPhoneAppBuilder Contest literally pays you to build your own iPhone apps. $1000 can be yours if your app becomes the very best in the App Builder catalog by March 22nd, 2010. You'll have to promote your app wisely to move to the top of our best-selling list (which you can view at http://appliya-studio.com/en/marketingreport/ or on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Appliya-iPhone-Applications/303258732770).

Promotion tips:

- post a video of your app on YouTube

- post on FaceBook about your app, including links to it (you can make a link directly to your app here: http://ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net/WebObjects/MZStoreServices.woa/wa/itmsLinkMaker)

- tell your Twitter followers about your app

- tell your Flickr communities about your app.

And remember, even if you don't win the contest prize, you still earn royalties on every application you sell. You can't really lose!

If you'd really like to get a leg up on the competition while promoting your work to the widest audience possible, consider building an app that you'll sell for free. Free apps on the iTunes app store get up to 8 times more downloads than paid apps. There is a development cost for building free apps ($899), but the cost is worth it for the extra exposure you get, and if you win the contest, you'll get all your money back!
